It was a night of thrills and excitement as the 19th Annual Red Ball went to the circus. A vintage circus tent at Burnley Oval was the venue for La Bal du Rouge au Cirque. The Big Top was transformed into a glittering 5 star arena.
The night was a great success with the support of our sponsors,Foxtel, Paspaley, Channel 7, The Hour Glass and Lojac and our incomparable hosts, Deborra-lee Furness and Peter Mitchell.
Bidding was frantic for both the live and silent auctions. Patrons showed their generosity in the pledge to support the ongoing work of the Foundation.
The Silver Circus troupe provided outstanding entertainment. It seemed the whole audience held their breath as three motorcycles whipped around within inches of each other in the Cage of Death.
Guests danced the night away to the irresistible sounds of Discorama, the best dance band in town!
It is no wonder the Red Ball is one of Melbourne’s premier charity events.
The Foundation would like to extend special thanks to the Red Ball committee for the months of preparation, and the volunteers who worked tirelessly prior, during and after the event. Their dedication and support were crucial to the success of the ball.
Many thanks to the brilliant team at Trumpet Events for creating a night to remember.
