Green Silks – a very special evening supporting Fight Cancer Foundation will be hosted by Channel 7’s Peter Mitchell and will feature the glorious music of the Royal Navy Band.

The evening will include a magnificent three course meal matched with fine wines, live and silent auctions, and live music to dance the night away.

Funds raised from Green Silks 2012 will support Fight Cancer Foundation to provide care, treatment and support for cancer patients and their families.

Fight Cancer Foundation also funds research into finding a cure and better treatment methods for cancer and other life threatening illnesses and provides accommodation centres close to major hospitals for patients and their families needing ongoing treatment. Many people from the Mornington Peninsula area have been treated over the years at Melbourne’s major hospitals and many children treated at the Royal Children’s Hospital.

St Patrick’s Day is widely celebrated around the world, especially in Australia, as well as Great Britain, Canada, the United States, Argentina and New Zealand. Today, St. Patrick’s Day is probably the most widely celebrated saints’ day in the world.
