Wests Tigers join forces with Fight Cancer Foundation’s Footy Colours Day
We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with the Wests Tigers Rugby League Club. The Wests Tigers are teaming up with us to help promote Footy Colours Day, which raises funds to help kids with cancer keep up with school.
Fight Cancer Foundation’s Managing Director, Eric Wright, said “I’m so grateful to the Wests Tigers Foundation for their ongoing support of Fight Cancer Foundation and Footy Colours Day. We’re proud to stand alongside them to support kids with cancer”.
With a passion for enriching the lives of people in the community, with particular importance placed on education amongst young people, Fight Cancer Foundation’s education support programs resonated with the Wests Tigers.
“Wests Tigers are proud to support Fight Cancer Foundation and their Footy Colours Day campaign. It’s a great initiative and we encourage others to participate and assist. Along with everyone at Fight Cancer Foundation, we are proud to support and encourage kids undergoing treatment” said Keehan Diamond, Wests Tigers Rugby League Club Community Engagement Coordinator.
Our exciting new partnership will include a special Footy Colours Day round which will be held on the 16th August when the Tigers take on the Bulldogs. Wests Tigers halfback, Luke Brooks, is also set to continue as a dedicated Footy Colours Day ambassador.
We are so thankful to the Wests Tigers for their support and excited to be partnering together to ensure kids with cancer keep up with their education while they receive and recover from cancer treatment.
Last year the Wests Tigers hosted Footy Colours Day ambassador Chase at one of their training sessions for the experience of a lifetime. You can catch the heart-warming footage of Chase’s experience here.
