Role Model Award 2017 - ELS School of Dance
An important accolade, the Role Model Award recognises a Footy Colours Day participant that not only wears their team’s colours with pride, but sets a positive example for members of their community.
This year, there were no participants who better exemplified this than the ELS School of Dance in Kealba, Victoria.
“This year, ELS School of Dance held a Footy Colours WEEK, with all of our students dressing up in their footy colours to support Fight Cancer Foundation. ELS School of Dance prides itself on being a community first, and a dance school second and we were so happy to see our school come together to support such an amazing cause. Once I told our students why we were dressing up and what their gold coin donation was going towards, we could tell that they were very excited to be involved. We can't wait to see how much money we can raise next year!” said Emma Scott, Director.
We were thrilled to hear of the students’ enthusiasm towards raising money for their peers fighting against cancer – that attitude is something that we want to spread through Footy Colours Day.
