Fight Cancer Foundation’s new low-cost accommodation centre for cancer patients has opened in Shepparton.
The four-bedroom house in Dunlop Street is directly opposite Goulburn Valley Health and Peter Copulos Cancer and Wellness Centre and is equipped with modern appliances, comfortable furniture and surrounds.
Shepparton House provides accommodation for patients and their carers who need to be close to Goulburn Valley Health for ongoing medical treatment. The catchment area covers approximately 100 kilometres from central Shepparton – approximately 160,000 people.
“We look forward to welcoming the people of greater Shepparton and the broader Goulburn Valley region,” said Fight Cancer Foundation Managing Director Eric Wright. “Providing cost-effective, safe and comfortable accommodation to cancer patients and their carers has become an important part of what we do at Fight Cancer Foundation. It is a privilege to be able to offer a helping hand to people when they need it most – during their fight against cancer.”
