Wests Tigers newest recruit
Footy Colours Day ambassador Luke Brooks and the Wests Tigers made one little boy very happy last month with an unforgettable experience.
Fellow ambassador Chase, who was diagnosed with a type of kidney cancer at just four years old, met Luke back in May at the Footy Colours Day photoshoot. The pair connected instantly as Chase ran circles around his new friend and they performed ‘ninja kicks’ together.
Chase developed such a liking to Luke that he is now the Wests Tigers newest supporter, when previously he was a devoted soccer fan.
Proudly donning brand new Tigers gear, Chase was invited down to a Wests Tigers training session and given the important role of waterboy for the day.
To make his experience all the more memorable, Chase ran the team out alongside his favourite player prior to the game that same week. Proving to be the Wests Tigers’ secret weapon, Chase was also invited back to the sheds following a win by the Tigers.
Thanks to Luke Brooks and the Wests Tigers for setting up this special experience for Chase. You can catch the footage of Chase’s experience here.
